The make-up artistry course, which has a high practical content, is devised for those who wish to work in the field of television, film, theatre, and photographic – to name a few.
The make-up artistry course includes the following subjects:
Basic cleansing routine
Eyebrow shaping and tinting of lashes/eyebrows
Anatomy of skin, muscles and bones
Corrective make-up for face shapes, noses, eyes and lips
Camouflage make-up e.g. Tattoos, skin disorders, birthmarks etc.
Introduction to application of make-up using different techniques
Colour and lighting for theatre and photo work
Day make-up
Evening make-up
Mature make-up
Black skin make-up
Wedding make-up
Photographic make-up for men
Colour photographic make - up

The make-up artistry full time course is run twice a year, and exits on a certificate level. In order to exit on a diploma level a further 6 months is required. There are 2 choices, please view Prosthetics and Advanced Make – up and Aesthetics.
International Diplomas
City & Guilds; ITEC; CIDESCO
(1 year course with either Prosthetics or Advanced Make-up & Aesthetics must be completed in order to do the CIDESCO Diploma)
Part Time: January and July (duration: 1 year)
1 year full time Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm
Compulsory supervised case studies are completed at the college during the afternoons
College closes at 4pm.
